INSTRUCTIONS TO ADD A PRESCRIPTION TO AN ORDER: To add a prescription and coatings to a frame, simply add the frame that you are interested in to the cart and click continue shopping. Choose the desired lens and coatings as you continue shopping. Once the order is completed simply check out. Please email us or fax us a copy of your prescription with the order number once you have completed the order!

Clear Lens
No prescription filled (Could be filled on all prescription frames and most sunglass frames if you want a clear lens). Available in plastic and glass.

Distance, reading or single vision lens
Standard prescription lenses, for either distance vision or near vision (reading). This is the most common lens selection.

Bifocal Lens
This lens has a segment in it for far sight and a segment below with a near sight or vice verse depending on the prescription. Bifocals are usually prescribed for those of us over the age of 40 who have lost their ability to focus on close work.
 4 Progressive Lens/ No Line Bifocal Lens This lens serves the same function as the bifocal lens but with no visible separation line on the lens.

Plastic
Standard plastic lenses are great for almost any prescription. This lens type cannot be used in rimless frames.
2 Polycarbonate Polycarbonate lenses are the most impact resistant material. Up to 20% thinner and stronger than plastic. They are lightweight, have built in UV protection, and recommended for children, sports, as well as rimless frames. Originally used primarily for industrial safety glasses, they are now used for children, sports wearers, or anyone requesting greater impact resistance in their lenses.

High Index 1.60
Up to 42% thinner than standard plastic CR-39 lenses. Great for high prescription. Lighter in weight, these lenses also come with a built in UV protection.
 4 High Index 1.67
Up to 30% thinner than Standard Plastic CR-39 lenses. Great for high prescription. Lighter in weight, these lenses also come with a built in UV protection.
